For some people in this world we come across something or have some event take place that changes us. Maybe it was a death, or quite possibly a bad decision such as joining the military. It could be the life we did not chose or more directly the one that we did. Those are the most obvious but there are more settle things that do occur. I think that everyone could make an attempt to say their family is dysfunctional but not all are. It all depends on the person that results from the equation, that is it is only a dysfunctional family if you're uncontrollable habits are the byproducts of such events. It is my opinion that you cannot be that bad off no matter how your family was if your life has turned out to be the image of a commercial on a silver screen. No sob story can exemplify or justify such accusations. I am sorry - deal with it.

However, the most appalling thing is when you come face to face with the person you have tried not to be and realize the mirror is a truth. It is hard to see how it did unfold. Could it be a childhood? Was it the life I chose? No - I do not think so. What is even more astounding is it revolves around the lack of care from people thought to not really matter. By the time this is realized it is too late. The love you wanted to show and care that was once in the front has sifted for the strongest emotions to overcome. Anger and sadness. Can I explain them - no. I do not feel that I need medication and the depression is not once a tragic experience like I suffered many years ago. It is overwhelming and a part of life. I am content with that for now.

Some days seem to go quickly and others drag.

Work has lost that magic. That special anxiety that I had - or enthusiasm has drifted.

I am hoping that I can establish a hobby. Possibly work on the business that I have wanted to start forever or maybe even finish writing a screenplay.

Since I also have a family to tend I only have time for a couple extra things.

Maybe today will be a better day.

Have a song in my head.

Thanks Drew.

Artist/Band: Cash Johnny
Lyrics for Song: Cocaine Blues
Lyrics for Album: At Folsom Prison

Early one mornin' while makin' the rounds
I took a shot of cocaine and I shot my woman down
I went right home and I went to bed
I stuck that lovin' .44 beneath my head

Got up next mornin' and I grabbed that gun
Took a shot of cocaine and away I run
Made a good run but I ran too slow
They overtook me down in Juarez, Mexico

Late in the hot joints takin' the pills
In walked the sheriff from Jericho Hill
He said Willy Lee your name is not Jack Brown
You're the dirty heck that shot your woman down

Said yes, oh yes my name is Willy Lee
If you've got the warrant just a-read it to me
Shot her down because she made me sore
I thought I was her daddy but she had five more

When I was arrested I was dressed in black
They put me on a train and they took me back
Had no friend for to go my bail
They slapped my dried up carcass in that county jail

Early next mornin' bout a half past nine
I spied the sheriff coming down the line
Ah, and he coughed as he cleared his throat
He said come on you dirty heck into that district court

Into the courtroom my trial began
Where I was handled by twelve honest men
Just before the jury started out
I saw the little judge commence to look about

In about five minutes in walked the man
Holding the verdict in his right hand
The verdict read murder in the first degree
I hollered Lawdy Lawdy, have a mercy on me

The judge he smiled as he picked up his pen
99 years in the Folsom pen
99 years underneath that ground
I can't forget the day I shot that bad bitch down

Come on you've gotta listen unto me
Lay off that whiskey and let that cocaine be

I have recently thought about moving to another locaton. A lot has to do with the job. Even more has to do with the enviornment of Saint Joseph. It could be some organizations that we belong to may just be missing something that we feel required or possible the attitude of people in general. It could be that we just want to reinvent ourselves and achieve a little breathing room from relatives.

What city should we consider moving to?

What kind of job should I look for?

Friday was quite a day.

The manufacturing world was not treating anyone kindly. Two serious incidents happened one coming into my shift and the other at the end of my shift. Both put a lot of product into question. Along with that a main water pipe which is similar to an artery of the  plant had issues. Two important crew members left despite the fact that I stepped in to work beside vs. over them. After the second operator left I did not have anyone qualified to run that particular machine. Since I am not the official person, but am covering the area my knowledge is limited. If you want to ever feel incompetent try running a machine that you do not know how to run that MUST be ran. We had already loaded the products to perform the needed function. "You're plan is not working." Then she was gone. I guess it did fail to register in her mind that she obviously couldn't do the job either - hence why I became involved in the process in the first place. But then again, it is always easier to blame someone else. After a couple hours of phone calls the help was sent and the problem was fixed.

14 hour days are very exhausting. One should appreciate never having to do that for survival.

I think that I should be able to find out if I am qualified for the supervisor position that I have interviewed for. We shall see.

Long Days

Quite a few long days as of late. I am covering a supervisor position until they can fill that vacancy. I usually chose to head in at my normal time @ 11:30 since it would set me behind if I came in at the start of the shift I am covering. Needless to say 11-11 or 12 is a long day. Of course, I am tired and really miss that extra time with my family, but it is a good expereince overall. It is amazing to see a group of people support you and are willing to take that extra step or walk that extra mile. It is also a great disappointment to know of an individual who wants so much more and understands the processes to near perfection BUT fails to apply that towards any positive direction.

An interesting thing to remember is there is a work formula. Yes math, and the daily labors are connected:

It is Work = Force x Distance.

This would mean that in order to produce any work you would need to make accomplishments, positive or negative. For example, if someone were to stand at a brick wall all day and pull against it, but not move it - they have really done no work. Though, they may feel like they have.

Well hopefully today will run smoothly.
